Back by popular demand!
Your friends at Westen Canoe Kayak are back at it again to bring you the biggest paddling event in BC-- Join us for Paddle Expo 2026, a celebration of all things paddlesports-- One day only May 3rd, at Main Beach on beautiful Cultus Lake!
Kick off the 2026 season right with an incredible selection of boats to try out on the water. This event aims to provide beginners and experienced paddlers with an opportunity to try out paddlesports and see what it's all about.
Come visit us and talk to industry professionals from top brands. If you're looking for the perfect canoe, kayak, or SUP you won't want to miss this event.

Intro to Sea Kayaking Lesson
With Mission Paddlesport
PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Mike Richardson has taken over operations at Mission Paddlesport from Brad Keats and is continuing Brad’s vision. Mission Paddlesport remains committed to putting safety first, ensuring every paddler can enjoy the water with confidence and peace of mind.
We'll be showing you a variety of Kayak rescue techniques. Come down and have a look!

Stretching for Paddling
With Simone Joyce, RMT
Simone has been paddling for 20 yrs. She paddles: whitewater kayaks, canoes, SUPS and touring kayaks and even a man inflated in a drysuit, but that’s another story.
Simone is a RMT (registered massage therapist) with a Bachelor of Art of Kinesiology and has been practicing for 3 years at her private clinic in Chilliwack. Stop by and learn how to ‘stretch it out’.

Shoreline Dragon Boat Tours
With Sudden Impact Paddling Club
Our friends at Sudden Impact Paddling Club will be offering lakeshore tours starting at 11am and following every hour. This is an awesome opportunity to see what its like to get in the saddle of a Dragon Boat and paddle as a team with some new friends!

Intro to Canoeing Lesson
With Elements Adventure Company
PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Elements Adventure Company is back to get you on the water and teach the basics of Canada's favourite national pastime. You'll learn all about the canoe, the paddle, and how to make the best use of both so that you can spend many beautiful days on the water.

Intro to Recreational Kayaking
With Mission Paddlesport
PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED. If you've never tried kayaking, and would like a little help to learn the basics, this class is for you! It will be an hour long on-water lesson covering everything you need to know to get started.

Sea Kayak Rescue Clinic
With Mission Paddlesport
Mike Richardson of Mission Paddle Sports, is a Paddle Canada certified instructor and is joining us this weekend to teach the basics of sea kayaking. Putting safety first putting safety first, ensuring every paddler can enjoy the water with confidence and peace of mind.
They'll be showing you a variety of kayak rescue techniques. Come down and have a look!

Canoe Rescue Clinic
With Elements Adventure Company
Elements Adventures is on site to show you how you can be prepared for excitement on the water! The worst thing that can happen to you out there is turning your canoe over when you don't mean to, and so long as you are prepared you will be ready to load everything back into your canoe and get on the water again safely!
There will be a number of different rescue techniques shown and you can stay comfy and dry from the Cultus Lake docks.
